Bing Priest Receives Linda Hartinger Award

Bing Priest of Printing Papers in Little Rock, AR was honored with the Linda Hartinger Award at the 2020 AIPPM Annual Meeting in Austin, TX on February 27, 2020. The award, formerly called the AIPPM Founder’s Award, was established to honor the memory of Linda Hartinger, past President of AIPPM and Anchor Paper in St. Paul, MN. The recipients have been recognized for their contributions and leadership of the association. Past recipients include Steve Rudin of Milton Paper, Kent Westhelle of Hudson City Paper, Morris Dennis of Dennis Paper, Michael Ramaker of Steen Macek Paper, Dave Powell and Dan Robinson of Omaha Paper, Don Crew of Clampitt Paper, Jim Belisle of Valley Papers, Tucker Jones of Hudson Valley Paper, Bayard Tynes of Strickland Companies, Don Clampitt of Clampitt Paper Co, and Jeannie Cao of Sandia Paper.
Bing Priest began his career in 1964 with Arkansas Paper Co. as a warehouseman and a driver. During his early years in the industry, he also served in the Marine corps Reserves. In 1970 he joined Fine Papers as a sales representative. The company was sold in 1980 to Crown Zellerbach. He was appointed to sales manager in 1982. On April 1, 1985, he started his own company, Printing Papers Inc. in Little Rock. For 35 years, Printing Papers has been a leading distributor of fine papers in Little Rock and throughout Arkansas. Bing served on the AIPPM Board of Directors from 2012 through 2016, and as its President in 2015.
